Strengthening HIV Awareness: CDH Plus Life Center Reaches Out to Calamba Communities

Calamba Doctors’ Hospital, through the dedicated efforts of the CDH Plus Life Center – HIV and AIDS Team, recently carried out a series of Free HIV 101 Seminars, Counseling, and Testing across various locations in Calamba. The initiative was brought directly to companies and barangays, ensuring that HIV education and testing were accessible to employees, residents, and community leaders.

The program aimed to provide clear, science-based information about HIV from prevention and testing to counseling and treatment options. By conducting sessions in workplaces and barangays, the team was able to reach diverse groups, fostering open dialogue and breaking down misconceptions surrounding HIV and AIDS.

Participants warmly welcomed the initiative, engaging in discussions and actively taking part in the counseling and testing activities. Their involvement reflects a growing awareness and willingness to support health programs that not only protect individuals but also strengthen the community as a whole.

Hospital representatives expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the companies and barangays that opened their doors to the program. This collaboration highlights the importance of collective action in promoting workplace empowerment, community health, and a safer future for everyone.

Beyond providing medical services, the seminars also served as a platform to encourage inclusivity and compassion. By addressing stigma and misinformation, the CDH Plus Life Center continues to advocate for a healthier society where individuals feel supported and informed.

As Calamba Doctors’ Hospital looks ahead, this initiative stands as a reminder that awareness, education, and unity are powerful tools in the fight against HIV. With the continued support of our Kapamilya, we can build stronger communities that prioritize health, safety, and empowerment.
